Is my data secure?
Absolutely. We use bank-level security (AES-256 encryption) for all data. Your bank credentials are never stored on our servers β we use Plaid for secure bank connections, which means you authenticate directly with your bank. Our infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform with SOC 2 compliance.
How does Plaid work?
Plaid is a secure financial data platform used by thousands of apps including Venmo, Robinhood, and Coinbase. When you connect a bank account, you enter your credentials directly with Plaid β not NALO. Plaid then securely shares your financial data with us via encrypted API. We never see your bank login.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, anytime. Go to Settings β Account β Delete Account in the app. This permanently deletes your NALO account and all associated data within 30 days. You can also disconnect individual bank accounts without deleting your entire account. For data export requests, email privacy@nalo.app.
What's included in each pricing tier?
Essential ($4.99/mo): Account aggregation, net worth tracking, basic insights, monthly reports.
Premium ($7.99/mo): Everything in Essential plus unlimited AI coaching, Quiet Wins & Insights, subscription management, What If projections.
Elite ($10.99/mo): Everything in Premium plus voice mode, advanced projections, custom themes, and priority support.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime directly in the app: Settings β Subscription β Cancel. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. If you subscribed through the App Store, you'll need to cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Which banks are supported?
NALO supports over 12,000 financial institutions in the US through Plaid, including major banks like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, and most credit unions. If your bank isn't supported, let us know and we'll work to add it.
Is NALO financial advice?
No. NALO provides informational insights and coaching to help you understand your finances better, but it is not a substitute for professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Our AI coaching is designed to inform and empower β not to make decisions for you.
How accurate are the projections?
Our βWhat Ifβ projections are hypothetical illustrations based on the assumptions you provide (income growth, inflation, investment returns, etc.). They show whatcould happen, not what will happen. We use Monte Carlo simulations to show a range of possible outcomes, not a single prediction.
Do you sell my data?
Never. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is used solely to provide you with NALO's services. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I get a refund?
We don't provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you're having issues, contact us at support@nalo.app and we'll do our best to help. For App Store purchases, refund requests must go through Apple.
