How do I connect my bank account?

  1. Open the Wallet tab in NALO
  2. Tap Connect Your Bank
  3. Search for your bank or financial institution
  4. Sign in with your bank credentials through Plaid's secure portal
  5. Select which accounts you want to link

Your bank login credentials are handled entirely by Plaid and never touch NALO's servers. You can connect checking, savings, credit cards, and investment accounts.

How do I cancel my subscription?

NALO subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
  3. Find NALO in the list
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription

You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. You can also manage your subscription from the Settings tab within NALO.

How is my financial data protected?

Your security is a core priority:

  1. Bank connections are handled by Plaid, a trusted financial data provider used by thousands of apps. Your bank credentials never reach our servers.
  2. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS (the same standard used by banks).
  3. Data at rest is stored on secure Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption.
  4. The AI coach only sees a privacy-safe summary of your finances — never raw account numbers or full transaction details.
  5. We never sell your personal or financial data to anyone.

How do I delete my account?

  1. Open the Settings tab in NALO
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted

This permanently removes all of your data from our servers, including your profile, financial data, AI conversation history, and connected bank accounts. This action cannot be undone.

Why does NALO need access to my bank accounts?

NALO uses your real transaction data to provide accurate, personalized financial coaching. Without bank connections, the AI coach can only give generic advice. With your accounts connected, NALO can calculate your true safe-to-spend amount, detect subscriptions, build your financial health score, and answer specific questions about your spending.

You control which accounts to connect, and you can disconnect any account at any time from the Wallet tab.
